The Role

As a Senior Software Architect / Team Leader, you will play a key role in shaping modern software solutions, including AI-enabled and data-driven architectures. You will lead a small development team, design robust architectures, and help integrate AI and automation capabilities into client and internal solutions.

You will report to the Head of Development Unit and collaborate closely with leaders from BI, Data Engineering, CX/CDP, and Digital Analytics.

This role is ideal for someone who combines deep engineering expertise, architectural thinking, and curiosity about AI-driven software paradigms.

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Technical Leadership

• Design and own end-to-end software architectures, including cloud-native and AI-enabled systems
• Define architecture standards, development guidelines, and best practices
• Lead technical design decisions for complex, multi-system solutions
• Ensure software architectures are scalable, secure, maintainable, and cost-efficient
• Evaluate and introduce new technologies where they create real value

AI & Advanced Engineering (Strategic Focus)

• Design and oversee AI-ready architectures, including integration of
  • LLM-based services (e.g. copilots, assistants, automation agents)
  • Vector databases, embeddings, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
• Understand and apply Model Context Protocol (MCP) and similar standards for:
  • Secure the tool access for AI agents
  • Context management across systems
  • Integration of internal data, APIs, and services with AI models
• Collaborate with Data, Analytics, and CX teams on AI-driven use cases
• Ensure governance, security, and observability of AI-powered solutions

Team Leadership

• Lead and mentor a small team of developers (typically 3–7 people)
• Support team growth through technical coaching, reviews, and architecture discussions
• Participating in hiring, onboarding, and skill development
• Promote a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous learning

Delivery & Collaboration

• Translate business requirements into robust technical and AI-enabled solutions
• Collaborate with consultants, product owners, and architects across units
• Support estimation, planning, and delivery of projects
• Communicate effectively with Czech and international clients

Scale-up & Innovation Contribution

• Help shape the future of the Development Unit as the company grows
• Contribute to internal frameworks, accelerators, and AI toolkits
• Improve development processes, architectural maturity, and delivery standards
• Act as a thought partner to leadership on technology and AI strategy

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• Senior-level experience in software development and architecture
• Strong experience with backend technologies (e.g. Java, .NET, Node.js, Python)
• Experience designing cloud-native systems (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Solid understanding of APIs, integrations, databases, and security
• Experience leading or mentoring developers
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Fluent Czech language – mandatory
• Good working knowledge of English

Advanced / Nice-to-Have (Strong Advantage)

• Experience with AI-enabled software architecture
• Hands-on exposure to:
  • LLM platforms (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.)
  • RAG architecture and vector databases
  • Agent-based systems and orchestration
• Knowledge of Model Context Protocol (MCP) or similar AI integration standards
• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code
• Background in consulting, data-heavy, or analytics-driven projects
• Ability to balance innovation with production-grade reliability
