Recruitment process in Cross Masters
At Cross Masters we seek motivated and determined people who are eager to explore new things, push things forward, and will fit in our team. It is important for us that everyone in the current team agrees with a new reinforcement. Our recruitment process is built for you and us to see, if we want to cooperate.
The goal is to get convinced: if you can contribute to our team, and if you would like to be a part of it.
Nevertheless, the responsibilities are on both sides. Just as we realize how challenging and important it is to meet the expectations of every member of the team in the long run, so we have high expectations.
What to expect
The recruitment process consists of a few stages to make sure we will understand each other, and our attitude and expectations meet.
1. It all starts with your CV
The easiest way to apply for a job is via our Career Contact Form. Fill out your contact information, attach your CV and other documents you feel might increase your chances (e.g. portfolio of your previous work, cover letter) and submit.
Depending on the position you’re applying for, you may be asked for additional code samples (e.g. a link to your GitHub profile), content samples, design portfolio (e.g. a link to your Behance profile), or other relevant samples of your previous work.
2. HR Review
After you reply to the job posting submitting your CV, our hiring coordinator reviews your application. We focus on finding a connection between your skills and our expectations for the role.
If you’re not exactly the best fit for a given position, we still get in touch with you if we’ve got a more fitting role for you or discuss other options.
3. Expert evaluation
At this stage, selected applications are reviewed by the team manager and specialists in the field. We consider your skills, experiences, education, qualification, and team fit. If we’re positive about you, get ready for the next step.
4. First call
Our hiring coordinator gives you a first call to introduce ourselves to you, talk about the position briefly, and talk about the expectation. Then we find a suitable date for the interview.
5. Recruitment assignment
To get a closer look at the position, you can expect a few tasks to solve. It helps both sides to create a better perception. You can solve them at your convenience from home. Usually within a few days or a week we expect the results. The tasks might come before or after the interview.
6. Interview
We meet face to face in our office or connect remotely. Often, there are several people on our end: hiring coordinator, direct manager, and sometimes a member of your team-to-be, depending on the position. The meeting lasts approx. 60-90 minutes.
When just a conversation is not enough to be persuaded
Sometimes one meeting is insufficient, therefore we adopted additional stages in the recruitment process.
6. Test
Very often we test our candidates to see, how they approach difficult and not that straightforward problems. The test is a part of the interview and it is not easy. Many candidates will not pass the test and that's alright because we want only those who are truly committed to passing that test.
